Please try again later.Hi Smelly, On this compact ice maker there is considerable amount of heat produced in the heat exchanger and an internal fan helps to pass air over the heated zone to keep it within the operating range. So, if the device is new, there may be. some initial smell caused by sealants and other compounds but should go away after a couple of cycles. If the smell is present even after few ice production cycles, there may be some foreign object inside or a component overheating.
