A:AnswerClean the interior with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth, then rinse with clear water. Take out the ice basket and clean it. Unplug the water drain cap to remove all water. Replace the water drain plug before filling with water. Clean the ice maker at least once a week or every three days if your water quality is poor. * Do not use bleach or vinegar to clean the internal components
A:AnswerThe ice this machine makes is like a 1-1/2 inch finger with a hole in it. The ice is not clear, but any ice machine of this type would not make crystal clear ice. Some refrigerator ice makers do, but that is a different system (ice tray is filled and then left undisturbed until frozen and then harvested. This machine dips finger shaped freezing coils in a trough with water. The water then freezes around the coils until frozen and then harvested. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerAs the basket was made for this model in particular it may be difficult to find a replacement for sale, however a damaged basket may be covered under a warranty. I would recommend contacting customer service and discussing options there.
A:AnswerThe manual says to only use water. Anything else could cause build up internally as it pumps water (or any fluid) from the reserve through areas you could not clean easily .
A:AnswerStop using it. I know best buy will not except it back. Mine exploded and they acted like it happened before. Stop using it because I would hate to have this happen to you. Best at home depot or lowes where you can get way better service then sorry we can't help because they already have your money.
