There is a volume control on the speaker. It can also be controlled from the source.

Volume can be controlled at either source. There is volume control on top of the speaker but it will not override the max volume already set on your source device.

You can control the volume from either the speaker or the device it is paired to giving you both options.

There are volume controls on the speaker, so you don't have to change the volume with your MP3 player or phone. Balancing the two together gives it a premium sound.
