- Answer Yes, a small red light appears near the top when the battery has run down. Turns blue when charged.

- Answer The speaker comes with a cable about 8-10 inches long that plugs into the speaker on one end....in the back of the speaker....and then plugs in to a USB charger such as an iphone charger block or a computer or such. I plug it into my computer at school. I use this speaker in my Art Classroom. My only negative is the cable is short....I can't move it far from the computer without purchasing a longer cable. Hope this helps.

- Answer I'm not an expert on audio. However, I suspect there are much better bluetooth speakers out there if you are wanting to crank it up and listen to songs, etc. I will be using it just for audio books while I'm on road trips. It is plenty fine for something like that. If I was going to listen to music loudly then I would go with something more expensive... if high audio quality was important to me. I think it would still do an okay/so so job with songs... just not an outstanding job. Nothing close to what you would probably get with a $50 to $100 system. To me it sounds a lot like what I would get from my laptop built in speakers... okay, but not outstanding.

- Answer Dash = reduce Volume Plus = Increase Volume Phone = Answer a call (assuming the speaker is paired with a phone) 3-Rings = Pair/Unpair Good luck!

QuestionI have Sony SRSX33 but it produces too much bass that it's hard to hear some talk and effects. In this regard does Insignia speaker have less bass that it makes it clear to hear what people say and some effects? I want less bass and more clarity.

- Answer Yes. This is exactly why I bought this just for my tablet for movies and shows. Absolutely clear sound no Bass at all. I have Bose with bass which I use for music.

QuestionI bought the blue model and noticed after ten minutes or so of no sound being pumped through the speakers, it automatically shuts off. HOWEVER, when I have it plugged in with an auxiliary cable, it doesn't shut off. Why is it doing this?

- Answer if you have connected with the bluetooth and you are not playing music for 5 minutes then bluetooth automatically gets off.

- Answer I have the 2 last models, so I wil compare them for you... Second model: SKU: 5496202 VS Third model SKU: 4388800 (I purchased both) Sound:: the second model has a better sound quality than the third model, the third model sounds a lot louder than de second model (But with less sound quality), the second model has 3 speakers, the third model has 2. Both are very good with the battery, the secret is not using it at its top volume. The second model shuts down at 10 minutes of unuse, the third model DO NOT TURN OFF AUTOMATICLY becouse its power button is not digital. The second model has a beautiful sound when it pairs and unpairs, the third model has has a awfull speaker "bop" when it interacts with your phone. Actualy I would like the third model to be remodeled and make it more similar to the second model. They focused on the battery, water proof, and volume, but they forgot about the sound quality and interaction experience.

- Answer Yes, an RF (radio frequency) speaker is wireless and not bluetooth. The typical application would be to use with your TV. You're not going to be able to use your smart phone as a source though, phones would use bluetooth.

- Answer Cannot connect 2 of these. Once the speaker is paired with phone only one on one. Phone cannot be synch with other speaker

- Answer I suspect most LATE MODEL Android phones. It works with my ipad but doesn't work with a 5 year old Sidekick 4g which HAS BLUETOOTH, which I tried just for kicks. Could not recognize the speaker at all but can recognize another Sidekick (old dinosaur phone at this point). So older devices will probably not be compatible, so it's not "any" Android device, even those that have Bluetooth. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with an explanation of which devices are compatible and why, so we don't know where the cutoff is for how old the devices are for them to work. If your device is relatively new, I wouldn't worry about it, but just thought you should know that "any Android device" would not be a correct answer.
