• Yes, you can charge the batteries through the controller via USB-C. Also, the dock can be plugged into a USB power adapter and work flawlessly. That's how I have mine setup since I hate the way it looks docked in the front of my Series X.

• No you can’t since there anything making contact to the part where it let you charge it in the controller
