“I just bought this a little over a month ago and now its not working. Says Ethernet 2 doesn't have valid IP configuration. I have unplugged, turned off, reset, did everything I can think of. Why all of a sudden it doesn't have a valid IP configuration!!”

Go to Device Manager, delete the device and driver, reboot and once you are back to Windows main screen, plug it back in and allow it to rediscover it.
