• I have the same question, I have a ZenBook as my work laptop, tried to connect the dongle from my other personal laptop and did tell me that it did not have video support, however, my question is, I was able to use the USB-A to HDMI to get a second (3rd total) screen for my 14" ZenBook, I guess that is like a mini external video card or something, I was expecting Insignia to have the same for the laptops with USB-C with not DP alt Mode. my USB-C says only SS-10 or something, same as my USB-A. I don't get it.

• If your laptop USB Type C port supports Alt Mode (video), this should work.

• I cant say for sure but I would see no reason if you have the correct port on your laptop that this device would not work to connect to a TV set.
