A:AnswerThis adapter will not work for that purpose. You will need a lightning port to HDMI to do that. I’m not sure if insignia makes that but Apple does. You may also need to purchase an additional cable to allow for charging as well.
The adapter will plug into the phone and then you will have an HDMI And lightning port outputs to go to a charger and the TV respectively. This adapter is about $50 at your local Apple store or Best Buy
A:AnswerIt will only work if your phone supports hdmi over thunderbolt3. I would look at your phone's documentation for answers or look on a forum specifically for your model of phone.
A:AnswerNO! idk why anyone has said yes, just tried it. went thru all the settings relative to the problem & no luck. Lg stylo 4, no adapter capable amigo.
A:AnswerIn theory, this one would, however, this particular adapter seems to not work very well. I'd recommend looking for another USB-C to HDMI adapter.
A:AnswerHi Cindy
I used it to attach a larger monitor to my laptop. I also was able to connect the HDMI to my tv to use it as a larger monitor as well. Just remember to change your HDMI settings. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThere are companies that make a Micro USB Male to HDMI Female MHL Adapter however, your phone would need to be MHL compatible.
See compatibility chart here -> http://www.mhltech.org/devices.aspx
Best Method - Wireless
Using a Google Chromecast to stream to an HD TV is quite beneficial as it provides multi-phone support and doesn't require cables and/or connectors.
Good luck!
