Unfortunately no it will not work as a charger but it will still be able to transfer files to and from your phone.

If I were you, I would absolutely look into just getting a USB-C charger. An insignia brand would work fine, as that is what the majority of my chargers are. This is not necessarily a charger and would take more to add on than just going to buy a charger. If you're looking to charge your phone off this by plugging the USB-C side into a laptop, then yes it will charge.
