• I don't know about nintendo switch, but this did work great to connect my xbox360 controller to my chromebook to play on stadia.

• https://www.nintendo.com/switch/tech-specs/ No, according to nintendo's site, it is a "usb-c port, used for charging only". Therefore it will not recognize the connected controller.
