Think of the 2.99 as a payment plan. If I buy ink for my printer from the store it is $40 and lasts about 6 months. $2.99 for 6 months is $18, which is less than half the cost of buying from the store.

If you go over your 50 pages there is an extra charge. It was explained to us that if you felt you were going to go over in a particular month you could just upgrade to the next level.

With tax, that's going to be about $40/year. That's a whole lot cheaper than if you buy the ink cartridges at $25 or $35 a pop! At least that's how I figure it!
