• Both my wife and I are retired and we have always used the Deluxe vesion for the free state download. Now if you are in a state whihc does not have state income tax, then the Basic might be best. Been very happy with the results.

• While I'm sure the Deluxe package will handle your needs, you could probably make do w/ a lesser package.
