Thanks for your question! I'm afraid the IR sensor cannot be disabled on the Total PA Glow Max. Depending on the layout of your room, you may be able to adjust the speaker position such that it no longer picks up the remote's signal. If not, you may need to explore other control options for your television set. Some TVs support adjustments to the IR frequency used by their remote, so check with your TVs manufacturer to see if this is possible for your device.
