- Answer The Total PA Glow Max will not able to wirelessly link with the Explorer Extreme, but they can be connected if you have an XLR to 1/4'' cable to go from the Mix out of the Total PA Glow Max to the Mic In of the Explorer Extreme!

- Answer Hello! Depending on the location of the ION Audio Total PA Glow Max, radio reception will vary. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can take: Disconnect the AC power for optimal AM radio reception. Relocate the speaker and see if get better reception (outdoors for example.) You can also pair your Bluetooth device and use a Radio Application on your phone for better reception.

QuestionWhat is the difference, if any, between the Total PA Glow Max and the Total PA Glow 3?

- Answer While they are very similar, the Total PA glow 3 has seperate volume knobs for each input while the Glow Max uses one multiuse knob that you push in to access alternate inputs. Also, the Glow Max can connect to other stereo link 2.0 enabled speakers, while the Glow 3 can only connect to an identical model, or one of the other speakers found in this compatibility guide: https://www.ionaudio.com/multi-sync-stereo-link-compatibility. In terms of the power of the speaker, they both feature 500 watt bi-amplified sound, with 15" woofers and 1" tweeters.

- Answer Hello! When in Radio Mode, double press the Play/Pause button to toggle through radio presets. These presets are determined by signal strength, and cannot be customized.

- Answer No, this device does not have a screen to display the words for karaoke. However, you can connect your phone or tablet to the device using Bluetooth or the Aux input and use that device as the screen.

- Answer You can press in the analog/volume button on the back and turn the source power up but the unit isn't as loud as I was expecting either. I however plan to buy a second unit and pair them together which will definitely help.

- Answer Yes, you can link 2 of these speakers together to play music from your iPad. If you want the mic audio to play through both speakers, you will need to link them together with an XLR cable.

QuestionDoes anyone know how to turn off the the noise suppression feature in these Total PA speakers? My Glow Max will chop the signal off once it reaches a certain threshold (when notes ring out and start to decay). Thanks!

QuestionThere is a .5 second delay on the Ask channel. So putting music into the speaker is always out of sync. How do you turn this off?

- Answer Hello, Ion Audio Technical Support here, happy to help! This product would work perfectly fine for connecting an electronic drum kit. Most all e-drum kits will output to line level. They likely have two output channels, Left and Right. You will want to either connect the output on the E-drum labeled mono (either master L or R) to the Line input of the Total PA. Or, you could use a 1/4" TRS L + R to 1/8" TRS Y-cable, and take both master outputs, and plug them into the Total PA's aux input. - Answer Thanks for your question! I'm afraid the IR sensor cannot be disabled on the Total PA Glow Max. Depending on the layout of your room, you may be able to adjust the speaker position such that it no longer picks up the remote's signal. If not, you may need to explore other control options for your television set. Some TVs support adjustments to the IR frequency used by their remote, so check with your TVs manufacturer to see if this is possible for your device. I'm afraid these devices are not compatible for linking via Bluetooth, but you could conceivably connect an XLR-1/8" (AUX) cable from the Glow Max's MIX OUT port to your JBL speaker's AUX IN port, assuming your JBL features an AUX in. QuestionIs it possible to use Aux feature WHILE bluetooth is activated? I use this speaker for my electric drum set but can’t play music through phone while using drums like the 1500 model!! If I put it on Aux setting I can hear drums, but no music & vice versa!

- Answer Hello! Please be advised that only the Aux or Bluetooth setting may be active at any given time, and that you are unable to use both at the same time. Many electronic drum sets have their own Auxiliary inputs however, which may allow you to accomplish your goal!
