While they are very similar, the Total PA glow 3 has seperate volume knobs for each input while the Glow Max uses one multiuse knob that you push in to access alternate inputs. Also, the Glow Max can connect to other stereo link 2.0 enabled speakers, while the Glow 3 can only connect to an identical model, or one of the other speakers found in this compatibility guide: https://www.ionaudio.com/multi-sync-stereo-link-compatibility. In terms of the power of the speaker, they both feature 500 watt bi-amplified sound, with 15" woofers and 1" tweeters.
