It does not have a magnet It gets held with the side and bottom prongs.It clips in when the cellphone gets pushed on.

No, it doesn’t have a magnet but it has feet on the bottom that hold the phone as well as an arm on each side that will move in or out to fit your phone. I have never had my phone fall out of this mount.

NO. Place in cradle and looks in place and squeeze rear tabs to release, only one hand to place in and remove very easy and quick. This is my second one. I have had older version now for 5 years and this new one charges my iPhone 2x faster than the first one.
