I have this system with a clean base, if I would purchase this one without a a clean base can it be programmed to use the clean base? null

Hi Scooter,
If you purchase an extra Roomba j7, it will work with the Clean Base.

So yes, i had an extra clean base for a j7+, i purchased a j7 without the self emptying base, tossed it on the self cleaning base and it charged. Tossed in a new dust bin with the green flap and it self empties. So yes you will need to upgrwde the dust bin and it works just like the j7+.

They told me no, that you have to purchase it with the clean base. Bummer because I wanted to add a base to mine.
