“Do you have to download software onto your computer to use this connector? If so anyone know of one that doesnt? I am using a work supplied laptop which I am not allowed to download onto but I want an ethernet connection and wireless mouse and keyboard.”

Hello JAAA, The j5create - USB Type-C Gigabit Ethernet & HUB Multi Adapter (JCH371) will require that you download and install driver software for the Ethernet port to function. However, the USB 3.0 port will work plug-and-play. In order to download the driver for this device, it will require that you have administrative privileges on your user account, or that you have your company IT or Help desk install these drivers.
