It works with my note 9 and charges the phone when I use the charger through the adapter.

I bought the J5 USB Type-C to HDMI & USD 2/11/2020, and was able to connect my Galaxy Note 8 to it to watch TV from my phone. If you move the base, the stream will be interrupted, not sure why this happens.

Thank you for submitting a question. Yes, the JCA379 does indeed allow you to screen the phone onto the TV as long as the phone supports DP alt-mode, if it does not we have the JUA165C that will work for you.
