• A:Answer Because the LG Stylo 5 does not support DP alt-mode which is when the phone supports video/display via the USB-C port, you will not be able to obtain video/display using the JCA379. Instead, we recommend exchanging the JCA379 for the JUA165C and that will work for you. • A:Answer No, the Samsung A21 does not support the required feature known as DP alt-mode (Video output via USB-C) and therefore will not work for your setup. Instead, the JUA165C will.

Q: QuestionCan I charge my laptop while using this adapter to connect to an hdmi monitor?

• A:Answer From what I can tell, yes. I powered a Seagate Backup Plus for Mac. The catch is that a power connector is connected to the other USB-C connector. Of course, most HDMI monitors don't draw power from HDMI. I don't know if the laptop will accept power from the HDMI port to power the laptop. Does that help?

• A:Answer The USB-C to HDMI & USB 3.0 with Power Delivery requires devices that has an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for video out and USB Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 for pass-through charge.
