If you are using a desktop environment on your phone, then yes, that setup may work.

This enabled me to hook up my broken screen Galaxy S8 to a HDTV and a mouse simultaneously so that I could transfer over my contacts, call logs, messages, etc. to my new S9+ via WiFi. Without this I wasn't able to run SmartSwitch on my old phone to initiate the transfer. You guys are my heroes. Thanks especially for answering my question so quickly. I consider buying this product as the best money I've spent in recent memory.
