Depending on signal obstructions between the transmitter and receiver (walls, electrical wiring, plumbing, metal shelving or siding) as l9ng as the transmitter and receiver are within range of each other, pairing them is simple. However, you must be careful when using this item as it is not meant for outside use and weather conditions may cause improper function or evendamage to both the receiver and any item it is connected with.

This is because they use NFC (Near-Field Communication) to pair. Once both units are on, press and hold the pair button on the back of the device (you may need a needle to push the button that is inside the hole) until both units’ lights are blinking.
