• Hello Leftearchallenge. You can not call or answer calls with the left earbud only. You can do so with the right earbud.

• I can't imagine why it should not work on either ear or on both. The call is made through your iPhone, Android phone or iWatch. The headset acts only as a transmitter or a receiver, and it can receive simultaneously in both ears.
