Unfortunately you can only use the right bud independently. The left bud is a "slave" the right.

The left can be omitted, and in the unit I owned, it was regardless as it would only work 15% of the time. If you haven't purchased these yet, don't. Or research "Jabra 65t earbud not working" and then make up your mind.
