I have used my earbud consistently to answer the car phone and/or ask it to dial out calls for me through the car computer system/smart phone Bluetooth link. So long as you have paired the car to your smart phone (analog or digital); if your phone has manufacture programmed to perform that function, you can go hands-free easily. I currently use Jabra, however, I have also used other Bluetooth systems.

I do not know if the more expensive Jabras have these features, but I have found if you need completely hands-free, you are going to need to buy a $100+ headset.
