No, not quite. What you describe is called 'Bluetooth Multipoint'. The Jaybird X2's let you pair up to 8 devices, but only 1 can be connected at a time. Multipoint has been available for years, consumers have come to expect it -- especially in a $200 (after tax) headphone that went to market in 2015. The only reason I can think of why Jaybird left it out the X2's would be battery life. Multipoint would considerably reduce the 8-hours they've been rated for.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You can pair two devices but only functions with one device at a time. Seamlessly switches to the next device when you turn one off though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No only with one divce at a time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not exactly an answer to your question but I have found that you can run multiple APPS from an Iphone. For example I can run while listening to my playlist on the music player app and at the same time it will interrupt the music from time to time with announcements regarding my mileage, pace, etc from a second app. Also I have received phone calls while running and annoying little dings indicating receipt of emails (both of which I generally choose to ignore while I'm running). I have not tried pairing with multiple devices yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can pair multiple devices, but can not connect to them simultaneously. Whichever connects first stays connected. So to answer to your question, no, you can't expect to answer calls if it's connected to your laptop. I've seen this option with some Plantronics headsets before though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure as I haven't really tried it. However, I own a VW GTI and if these are on (connected to my phone) when I enter the car the BT Audio will not connect to my phone. I have to turn these off (disconnect these from my phone) and restart the car to get the BT Audio to connect properly and play the music through the stereo. However, the phone features of the car will work if the headset is connected. I thought it was something with the car BT audio system set up but it may be the headset.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you can have up to eight items paired, but to switch between devices you need to deactivate the Bluetooth and then reactivate with the new device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can...As long as the bluetooth on both devises is on and paired
