Yes it should 
In the store the geek squad tech tested the system with her the Bluetooth from her phone and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for your inquiry. When connected to our JBL Bar 1000 via Bluetooth the sound output will come out from the entire unit including the subwoofer as they are a whole system. For more inquiries, please contact JBL Customer Support.
