I have played the JBL Boombox on the water for hours at a time in the pool and I would even go as far as to say I have the most beat up, rough, half broken shell of a boombox and it still floats and plays for hours. The JBL Boomxbox is not only water proof up to Ipx7 but it also floats. The JBL will definitely float forever and should continue to play music until it dies. Just watch the hundreds of youtube videos of it floating. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the IP waterproof specification means that these speakers can be immersed in water 1 m deep for 30 minutes. It does not mean that they can float, so please be careful. If dropped, they will sink to the bottom.
