• JBL Charge 4 is a portable speaker, and it has lithium-ion batteries. It can be used while it's plugged into an outlet since it has smart circuits that make the unit go into trickle charging when it's full. If you won't be using the speaker and the battery is full, you can unplug it to avoid overcharging.
