Flip 4 is stereo and the separation is fantastic. JBL just wants you to buy 2 period.

This is a phenomenon dominated by geometry that these companies can't overcome with R&D, lest they not be profitable to make and sell. By buying two and linking together, you'll get all the separation in the world.

Having stereo sound be helpful in any way requires physical separation of the speakers so your ears can discern it.! Some BT speaker offer this feature. It’s a waste and useless for the aforementioned reason!
