Hi, Why isn't stereo sound built into the single unit ? Disturbing trend in these bluetooth speaker manufacturers who produce MONO, boring output and expect you to have to purchase 2 of these just to get true stereo ? Can someone help explain ? null

Flip 4 is stereo and the separation is fantastic. JBL just wants you to buy 2 period.

You get more of this at higher price points but how would you realize true stereo separation in a super small device? This is a phenomenon dominated by geometry that these companies can't overcome with R&D, lest they not be profitable to make and sell. By buying two and linking together, you'll get all the separation in the world.

I think it is nothing more than a rip off. Ploy to get a person to buy 2 of them.   The older jbl speakers were stereo and sounded  great.  Very disappointing because i like jbl products.  Not anymore

Buy two and you can sync for stereo sound. Having stereo sound be helpful in any way requires physical separation of the speakers so your ears can discern it.! Some BT speaker offer this feature. It’s a waste and useless for the aforementioned reason!
