You can download generic remote apps for just about any device for your smartphone and use that if you have to. They are laggy and sometimes come with ads, but will get you out of a jam.

Yes. I found on one online. The original was scarcely available. I did find an aftermarket remote that was very similar and it wasnt expensive at all.
