“How does the JBL Charge 2+ compare to the Charge 3?”

• There is no Charge 3. There is the Flip 3, which is louder but has very different sound. The Charge 2+ has a lot of noticeable digital compression at higher volumes in order to maintain the bass. The Flip 3 does not. The Flip 3 has less bass overall but maintains it's high quality sound at all levels. Battery life is double on the Charge 2+, although it is also somewhat bigger.

• Own them both. Since I bought the 3 I have retired the 2. I love em.

• I hope you mean the Charge 2+ vs the Flip3? If you do, I personally the sound is very similar if not the same. Your volume level is where they might differ a little and the fact the Charge 2+ has a much bigger battery - so it lasts longer! Hope that clears any doubts.
