- Answer The JBL Flip 4 is rated as IPX 7 water-proof: this grade means that the device can be submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes without permanent damage. Usage of this in a steam shower is possible but not highly advisable as it might still cause damage to the speaker especially if contained in a shower for more than 30 minutes.

- Answer This product has power saving features. When no audio signal is detected the unit will suspend after 10 minutes of inactivity and turn off.

- Answer Hello! The Pulse 2 and Flip 4 have different features for it to be able to connect to another speaker. The Pulse 2 has the Connect while the Flip 4 has the Connect+ which is a newer version. This is the reason why the two speakers will not connect to each other.

- Answer The JBL CONNECT + is not backwards compatible to the JBL CONNECT and vice-versa. JBL CONNECT + allows you to connect up to 100 speakers with this feature such as the FLIP 4 and the PULSE 3. The XTREME and CHARGE 3 will soon be part of the JBL Connect + compatible devices.

- Answer Yes it is. Our previous Flip 3's USB port got damaged and when I tried to replace it via the extended warranty B.B. did not carry it anymore. As a result I ended up obtaining the Flip 4. It sounds great and 100% louder. You will not be disappointed.

- Answer Yes. The FLIP is rated at 2 x 5W, while the FLIP 4 is rated at 2 x 8W. The FLIP 4 is significantly louder, powerful and has deeper bass.

- Answer No. The FLIP 4 is only IPX7 waterproof certified. Prolonged exposure to harmful weather may affect the unit.

- Answer Works fantastic on my bike, however I found the bottle holder not to be the best place to carry it. I use it my rack on the back of bike .... and I hold it in place with straps.. This creates the best sound!! I get looks, and have people ask me about it daily!very satisfied

- Answer No. The FLIP 4 is rated at 2 x 8W while the CHARGE 3 is rated at 2 x 10W with bigger passive radiators on both sides making the latter more powerful when it comes to audio and deep bass.

- Answer Hi! No, the Flip 4 will actually perform better while it is plugged in. The speaker uses the electricity from the outlet instead of the battery and at the same time the battery is being charged.
