Yes, you can lock the speaker so no one can join and kick you off. Google search a little bit to find it. I do not have that problem, someone should not be able to pair two years speaker that's already paired to your source. Did you try to download the JBL app to configure the device a little bit more? That should give you some options to lock it out for others.
