Do these headphones cancel sound without music on? null

JBL Live 650BTNC noise canceling can work even without music. However, it should be mentioned that some Noise Cancelling headphones can't do much about higher frequencies, like a human voice. These kinds of products work best on continuous playing sounds, like a rumble of an engine.
