• The mic is under the in-line buttons. It's a small hole beside the JBL logo - turn that to your mouth when talking.

• It's a quality issue. Certain headphones don't work well with Android/iPhone. If you have you volume turned up on your phone and headphones and the other party can't hear - get new headphones!
