“Can the cell phone mount be removed so a camera can be put on the tripod?”

• Yes, the cellphone mount/holder can be remove by unscrewing it and the screw thread that remains can be used for smaller diigital cameras which use this same connection. I switch between a Sony handheld and my iPhone all the time. I like using the Sony flash to fill in for better image quality, so I seem to go back and forth all the time.
