Will this work on a heat pump? null

No it does not...I have one and it does not have emergency heat setting button on the screen. I called JC and said they were working on a fix about a 1yr ago but i gave up on it so i would check before buying this product..

Definitely. You would just have more wires to connect. Cool think is on the initial start up, it tests what kind of furnace you have based on which wires are connected and the type of response it gets from each. Takes several minutes but works great.
