It's the other way around. The left joy-con is red, and the right joy-con is blue.

If you buy a "neon" Switch system, it comes with blue (L) and red (R). But this spare set is red (L) and blue (R). If you've already bought a neon Switch system, buying this set will leave you with one pair (left and right) of blue joy-cons, and one pair of red joy-cons.

The ones I bought at the best buy store came with a LEFT RED and RIGHT BLUE. This is the opposite of the colors that come included with the neon blue and red switch console.

Usually the ABCD buttons are on the right and on the left has on the directional pad. They do come in other colors as well but always the way has the trigger at the top that in the case to write them all) by and saw you always know that you have to put the right and on the right-hand side.
