There are several parts that come apart but they do so easily and all clean up nicely.  I hand wash all and all surfaces that contact food are clean!

Hi Charlie! The blade and sliding carriage are removable for cleaning. More information regarding the cleaning process for the food slicer can be found in the user manual on pages 8-9.
