“It appears that the horizontal bars can adjust up and down. Is that the case? We may be installing the brace on a wall near the top of the wall, close to the ceiling and want to make sure the top of the TV does not hit the ceiling.”

Hi Bo, they cannot be adjusted vertically. It would depend on your VESA pattern and where the holes are sitting on the TV itself where the brackets will go.
