“Does the TV stay centered when the mount is folded flat? I only have an inch on either side of my tv in the space I want to hang?”

The M300 is offset by 5" when pushed back to the wall. If you want the mount to fold back centered, we would recommend the PS300/PS400. They are very similar mounts to the M300.
