To use your own coffee you must purchase the Universal k-cup reusable pod. For this Keurig you must remove the lower portion of the plastic pod that clips on. See the paper instructions that come with that pod. You must also pop out from the coffee maker the plastic assembly that holds the pod in place while brewing in order to use this reusable pod. The older reusable pods will not work with this coffeemaker as they are too tall to fit. That is why the new reusable pod has the clip-on piece so that it can fit both sizes of machines.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The one I have had for 6 years works fine it it. My reusable pod is the same size as a regular K-cup and uses little small disposable paper filers so you just take them out and throw them away with the grounds. The reusable pods with a wire filter require you to rinse them out to get the grounds out. No matter how careful you are some of them are going down your drain and coffee grounds will eventually build up in your drains and the inevitable plugged drain.
