Yes it does. However, at the Verizon store I went to activate it, the manager and one other associate said no, BUT i was fortunate enough that a 3rd associate had personally owned one at one time and activated it successfully for me. The quality of Verizon personnel ranges greatly. It DOES work on Verizon's network. A great phone if you need an actual keyboard which I do.

I ordered the key2 from Best Buy and they said they would not be able to activate it as it might not be compatible with Verizon. But I went to the Verizon store and they were able to set it up for phone and text. Love the new key2!
