Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's a somewhat vague question. There are mechanical clunking noises when opening or closing the door. There are no motor noises when doing that. The motor should only make a sound when activated with the foot pedal. The sounds this new compactor makes are virtually the same as the old one that broke -- same make and model from 20 years ago.
