Is the height really 16.5 in? We only have 16 1/8. null

It is actually 17 inches when you allow for the built in venting fan (this is an "over the range microwave). Definitely will not work in smaller space.

The height of this unit measures 17.25 inches.

That 16 1/8 is actually 16.13 - which is slightly smaller than 16.5

Hi Terri, on this particular model the height is actually Height 17 1/4 inches.

I am not sure this the 3rd microwave I have used in the spot over the oven in 20 years. Fits perfect I would say it is a standard fit.
