• On high it is fairly loud however you do have four speeds high, medium high, medium and low. On low it's very quiet in comparison to our previous microwave that only had two speeds. Also keep in mind that air flow is noisier at higher volumes. It's not really the fan making the noise it's the air flow. If your fan was making a lot of noise chances are the fan needed repair or lubrication or something like that.

• The fan is EXTREMELY loud. I rarely use it for that reason. Otherwise I love it. 2 years and no issues...

• Recall there are different speeds to run venting fan at so maybe less bothersome at lower speed.
