• Yes it can be used as a built-in. The trim kit model number depends on the size of your cabinet opening. Built-In Trim Kit Models MK2227 or MK2220 (manufacture model numbers and there will be two letters at the end, so you'll want AS if you're looking for stainless) 27" cabinet opening = MK2227 30" cabinet opening = MK2220 You can search out the trim kit installation instructions on KitchenAid's site, and see the dimensions required for each.
