Shipping not very good
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. The Product came slightly damaged. The product is a counter top model so the damage would be an issue if it were not being installed into a cabinet so that the dent in the product can not be seen. The product still works and is what I ordered. This is a replacement for a new microwave of the same model. That microwave lasted 2 1/2 years so out of warranty and not worth having the extra warranty of 2 years.

Meh. Dissapointng for a KitchenAid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.First one arrived damaged after unboxing. Top of microwave has way too little packing material inside the box. Best Buy was great and got another delivered within 2 days. Worked great... until.... 1 month later and the start button has started peeling from the control panel. It's not the most expensive microwave but I expect way better from KitchenAid.

Great microwave but very noisy beeper
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. We really like the microwave. It has all the functionality were we’re looking for. Clean sleek look. Downside: we missed the fact that the beeper cannot be muted nor is there any way to adjust the sound level. We would not have purchased this model had we realized this. If an annoying, very loud and persistent beeping noise does not bother you, this is a great microwave.

It looks clean and modern and works as a microwave
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. We bought this Kitchen microwave because we needed a specific size microwave. It looks clean and modern and works as a microwave should. There is nothing super special about it. The one thing about it I don't like, there is no handle on the door. It slams every time you close it. SLAM SLAM SLAM SLAM SLAM!!!!! This becomes very annoying after a while, since it can be heard across a few rooms, and we have kids and a 4 month old infant (that can also hear it during naps!). I also don't think it should fall in the $500 range. Maybe $300, and that's pushing it. You seriously need to rethink this one.

It is attractive and works fine but...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. We had a Thermador built-in for 18 years and it was awesome. This is fine, but it just seems to be made a bit more cheaply. The Start button is difficult to push in and can snap out pinching your finger. We also miss the "Quick Minute" feature. I am sure it will be fine. That being said, the Pac Sales representative was terrific. Quite knowledgeable and guided us to the company that makes custom trim kits for built-in replacements. That company did an excellent job,

Kitchen Aid KMCS 3022GSS1
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Bought this microwave as a replacement for the same model installed in my new home 2 1/2 years ago. The Magnetron failed. No replacement parts r produced for this model. Disappointed, but since it is used as a built in decided to replace with the same model. Expecting to obtain better performance the second time around! The shipper also damaged/dented the rear side panel. The good thing though, the microwave shipped to our location promptly and is working just fine!

Q: QuestionCan this be installed as a built-in in a wall cabinet? if so, what trim kit is used?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes it can be used as a built-in. The trim kit model number depends on the size of your cabinet opening. Built-In Trim Kit Models MK2227 or MK2220 (manufacture model numbers and there will be two letters at the end, so you'll want AS if you're looking for stainless) 27" cabinet opening = MK2227 30" cabinet opening = MK2220 You can search out the trim kit installation instructions on KitchenAid's site, and see the dimensions required for each.

Q: QuestionI am installing the microwave in an existing opening. There is a metal riser under the old microwave, can I purchase a new riser? Or should I reuse the old riser?
Asked by Dan.
- A:Answer Reused my old risers and trim kit and it worked just fine. We had to move one riser slightly so that the "feet" of the microwave sat properly for a stable install, but it worked great without the need for a new trim kit or risers.
